Gothic Mystery Tarot

Gothic, mystery and medieval times... that's what comes to my mind when I browse through babastudioprague's shop.
Everything found in there is genuine, made with a unique style I've never seen before. These fine pictures are sold as prints but also as designs for small and large bags. There is also a deck of tarot cards available, with the same pictures including minor & major arcana, 72 cards in total: it is the perfect collectors item and has been awarded the Best Tarot of 2006.

All pictures feature cats... not animal cats though! These are cat-people, with smart eyes looking at everything and perhaps brewing something mischievious. I remembered a fine story by Neil Gaiman in Sandman, "The Dream of a Thousand Cats" where the cats conspired to dream of a world where they were masters over the humans... and if a thousand cats dream of it, it would be true.

So, step into this mystery studio and travel down the centuries to a different reality, where the cat-people rule...

Another Treasury in the Air!!

Yes, I made it... after a long time chasing the treasury spot, I finally got one!!

I have filled it with etsy sellers from europe, members of the European Street Team (EST). This group is an attempt from european sellers to promote themselves and let the public know what are the trends in the Old Country! Check it out -- there are links in the top of the sidebar!

Turn your eyes to...
My Latest Treasury for EST!

Apart from this, it has been a busy week for me.. weather was also too warm for anything. I could hardly move during the day, and no sleep was possible in the night. It was nightmarish hot!! The heatwave is over now, and I started living again!! I even listed some new rings and a bracelet!

European Street Team

Some days ago many artists from all over europe decided to start an Etsy Street Team: the idea is to bring all european handmade artists together and to get more exposure. Also, experiences will be shared with the rest of the team and people will never feel alone again!! :)

This is one of the first treasuries published, containing only european artists. karlita had a tough job to do: selecting 16 items from so many beautiful candidates.

I am a proud member of the EST, too! Funny thing is that I had already featured some of the member of the EST in this blog, without checking their locations, and also had them as favorites (saratexture and Pirilampo Riscado for example). Imagine my surprise when I saw that now I am in the same team with my favorite artists!! I like to be part of this, and will try to keep it going well...

NOTE: Check the sidebar to the right for links to our flickr/yahoo page and the EST blog. Also there is a list of sellers that I will keep updating and the Master List (!) straight from the Etsy Forums! Happy Browsing to you!

A Merino as Necklace

I found Pirilampo Riscado's work at flickr, in a beautiful photostream. I was happy to see that she also maintains an etsy shop. I was impressed by her original work: I love things made from wool, textiles and natural materials. Not only she uses these materials, but her designs are so unique, having her own personal style.

Wool is warm by nature, but she works it so fine that it is transformed to a delicate necklace, like a light flower around your neck. She makes an otherwise retro material turn into something modern and unique! Her pins are a fine touch for any use: on your bags, jackets, etc.

And one more thing: she is from PORTUGAL!! I love this country!!

A Summer Salty Breeze

WHY? Because summer has arrived, you are preparing for your well-deserved vacations, and you are wondering "What clothes should I bring with me?" Well, you deserve a pendant like this, to combine it with your light summer dress! You will carry a bit of the sea with your every step!

seaurchin uses clay to make all those wonderful items. Every mold is also made by her, so each item is unique! I can't find the proper words to describe her style, it is so personal and experimental that you have to see it for yourself. Her main inspiration is the sea and underwater nature.

I have also featured her in my latest treasury. Be quick though: it expires in 5 Jun: Mediterranean Sea Tresury

Bead on the Wire!

So, you hear "beads" and "wire" and you think of cluttered accessories, and extreme beadwork. Well, lanita uses beads and wire with a unique delicate style, never becoming overloaded. Her jewelry seems like vintage pieces, carrying an air of classic glory. Her photos are very beautiful, each listing appearing as a part of nature -- I just love her backgrounds!

There are bracelets, pendants, earrings - most of them inspired from nature themes: butterflies and flower blossoms. Check her style out -- it's her birthday soon!!

OH! Don't forget to click on my new widget on the right: Listen to classic rock online while your read the articles in this blog!!

Ceramic Art Deco

OK, a lot of people are involved in ceramic art... but I find this artist unique! The main thing is the genuine details: dgordon applies pieces of treebark, textiles, laces and other items on the clay when it is still flexible. The result is those fine details all over the objects, making each piece unique. I like the colors she uses very much, pastel tones are so sweet and cute! What? Pastels are not your favorite? Oh, no problem there, she can take custom orders, in whatever colors you prefer. You got to check her sold section too...

Note: I will try to post more often, I have so many shops to feature, I don't know where to start from!!

The Monsters are coming!

Be careful!!! The pinheads are searching for you, they want to live on your walls!!
dancesippydance paints on canvas, with a style that is so simple and yet, so unique and expressive. Very original work, with a subtle humourous mood. I especially like the way paint fades off over the canvas, the result is very stylish.

Although it is monsters that s/he paints, I am not scared at all: I just.. love them!!

OOOOH: Important note (for me!): I have a showcase entry!!

CCA - Colorful Clay Art!!

One of the first artists I found in etsy soon after I joined was jennifermorrisbeads. I had never seen something like this before and I could not guess what those impressive earrings were made of. Well, she uses painted clay, but with a method so unique that each item looks like a lux precious stone! (In fact it is, as she combines gold in there!)

Her photos are so clear and professional and really give a feeling of great quality. It is amazing how much work goes into these earrings -- check out the details, everything is handmade, piece by piece! Also, her profile has very useful information if you are curious about her crafting method.

Beautiful Lampwork

There are tons of beads around, pretty and colorful -- but most of them are industrially manufactured and resold everywhere. Imagine my satisfaction when I found marylockwood's shop at etsy!! She is a lampwork master; her designs are so delicate and beautiful, I keep staring and staring them...
Such quality handmade work will not go unnoticed, I am sure. Just include these beads in your bracelets, necklaces, whatever, and all eyes will be fixed on you. Colors and designs that no-one else will ever have!

Oh, check her mushroom too in my favorites at the ride sidebar...

Blogged Treasury !?!?!

Imagine this!! Someone from etsy, a user named ZoZo, just took all the etsy sellers I have featured so far, picked one item from their shop and combined them in a Treasury!! What nerve!! And she named her treasury with my blog's name as well! Right in my face!!

How should I respond to this challenge??

Buried Treasures!

Fusion is a well-known art, but SarasTextureCrafts gives a fresh touch to it. Her items are so detailed and pretty. She has well-crafted pendants and a sense of romance comes from every piece. Just delve into her etsy shop and you will find all of them, together with original fabric pins, reminiscent of classic fashion and surely fitting for the new fashion trends of next Fall.

I can't understand why some shops as good as this one are buried and have not even a single sale...

Wedding Photos Album

I am so excited! Bibliostyle custom-made this perfect album for me! She was kind enough to ask what colors and charm I prefer, and in this way let me take part in the making! I can't wait to have it in my hands: I will fill it with my wedding photos. I've been waiting for almost 2 years to find the proper album for them, and now i am SO happy :))

And it matches the style of my wedding's decorations, check out the photos.

Digital Art

Well... may not be exactly "handmade" but digital art is amazing!! I found some nice artists in etsy, offering prints of their digital artwork; Mizzdraconia has a great selection of prints, all inspired by fantasy setting and heroines. Check her shop out, and get immersed in a world of amazons, mermaids, pirates, and epic fantasy! She uses a digital tablet to make her beautiful strokes and compose the image.
My husband also makes 3d graphics for hobby, and maintains a deviantArt and Renderosity page.

Hit the Lights!!

Well, the switches on the walls were always so dull... could not tamper a lot with them, they were only grey or white. And then, mosaico's shop was found in the vast sea of etsy-sellers... she works wonders with polymer clay, very original designs for switch plates.
Now I can't stop turning the lights on and off, on and off, on and off... everything is blinking!!!

Focus in Wood

Browsing through etsy shops, I came across ParadiseHillDesigns' shop, with excellent woodworks. There are stylish boxes for your jewelry, beautiful pendants and even a candle holder! Her work seems like traditional crafting, full of quality.

Paint it black & yellow & green & red & ...

OK, for my marriage I spent whole days looking for the right goblet for the wine of the ceremony... too bad I had not known about etsy and CreativeSpirit's shop. She makes wonderful hand-painted glassware, you can find vases, plates, glasses, holders, beads and some jewelry. Her style is very beautiful, and, just like me, she seems to love flowers!!

Bangles!

I love the group by this name! But look what I found in an etsy shop...
Located in barcelona, katsai's shop follows the trend of current fashion and gives us some alternative bangles, to make yourself stand out from the masses!

What I like most in these bangles is the perfect application of "less is more!" Uniform color with delicate details combine into an impressive accessory. What do you think??

Check her shop at etsy for more great stuff, like mint chocolate, kahlua balmand myhrr soaps!

First post - I am nervous!

I am Zozo, i make handmade accessories, so this blog is...

acceZOZOrise!!!

Welcome, and I hope you like it! I'll be posting handmade accessories here, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc made by me. Also I plan to feature other crafters that I find over the internet, whose designs I like and beleive you will like too! So, if you got something handmade and like to see it featured, send it this way.

My main source of finding new artists is etsy.com, a site devoted to handmade items. Many great artists and sellers there, in a friendly community. Check it out for cool flash scripts as well!

This is one of my last items, inspired by the colors of Spring: green and purple make a great combination. Check more photos of it in my etsy shop: http://zozo.etsy.com
