Gothic Mystery Tarot

Gothic, mystery and medieval times... that's what comes to my mind when I browse through babastudioprague's shop.
Everything found in there is genuine, made with a unique style I've never seen before. These fine pictures are sold as prints but also as designs for small and large bags. There is also a deck of tarot cards available, with the same pictures including minor & major arcana, 72 cards in total: it is the perfect collectors item and has been awarded the Best Tarot of 2006.

All pictures feature cats... not animal cats though! These are cat-people, with smart eyes looking at everything and perhaps brewing something mischievious. I remembered a fine story by Neil Gaiman in Sandman, "The Dream of a Thousand Cats" where the cats conspired to dream of a world where they were masters over the humans... and if a thousand cats dream of it, it would be true.

So, step into this mystery studio and travel down the centuries to a different reality, where the cat-people rule...

European Street Team

Some days ago many artists from all over europe decided to start an Etsy Street Team: the idea is to bring all european handmade artists together and to get more exposure. Also, experiences will be shared with the rest of the team and people will never feel alone again!! :)

This is one of the first treasuries published, containing only european artists. karlita had a tough job to do: selecting 16 items from so many beautiful candidates.

I am a proud member of the EST, too! Funny thing is that I had already featured some of the member of the EST in this blog, without checking their locations, and also had them as favorites (saratexture and Pirilampo Riscado for example). Imagine my surprise when I saw that now I am in the same team with my favorite artists!! I like to be part of this, and will try to keep it going well...

NOTE: Check the sidebar to the right for links to our flickr/yahoo page and the EST blog. Also there is a list of sellers that I will keep updating and the Master List (!) straight from the Etsy Forums! Happy Browsing to you!

A Merino as Necklace

I found Pirilampo Riscado's work at flickr, in a beautiful photostream. I was happy to see that she also maintains an etsy shop. I was impressed by her original work: I love things made from wool, textiles and natural materials. Not only she uses these materials, but her designs are so unique, having her own personal style.

Wool is warm by nature, but she works it so fine that it is transformed to a delicate necklace, like a light flower around your neck. She makes an otherwise retro material turn into something modern and unique! Her pins are a fine touch for any use: on your bags, jackets, etc.

And one more thing: she is from PORTUGAL!! I love this country!!

Ceramic Art Deco

OK, a lot of people are involved in ceramic art... but I find this artist unique! The main thing is the genuine details: dgordon applies pieces of treebark, textiles, laces and other items on the clay when it is still flexible. The result is those fine details all over the objects, making each piece unique. I like the colors she uses very much, pastel tones are so sweet and cute! What? Pastels are not your favorite? Oh, no problem there, she can take custom orders, in whatever colors you prefer. You got to check her sold section too...

Note: I will try to post more often, I have so many shops to feature, I don't know where to start from!!

Hit the Lights!!

Well, the switches on the walls were always so dull... could not tamper a lot with them, they were only grey or white. And then, mosaico's shop was found in the vast sea of etsy-sellers... she works wonders with polymer clay, very original designs for switch plates.
Now I can't stop turning the lights on and off, on and off, on and off... everything is blinking!!!

Focus in Wood

Browsing through etsy shops, I came across ParadiseHillDesigns' shop, with excellent woodworks. There are stylish boxes for your jewelry, beautiful pendants and even a candle holder! Her work seems like traditional crafting, full of quality.

Paint it black & yellow & green & red & ...

OK, for my marriage I spent whole days looking for the right goblet for the wine of the ceremony... too bad I had not known about etsy and CreativeSpirit's shop. She makes wonderful hand-painted glassware, you can find vases, plates, glasses, holders, beads and some jewelry. Her style is very beautiful, and, just like me, she seems to love flowers!!

Bangles!

I love the group by this name! But look what I found in an etsy shop...
Located in barcelona, katsai's shop follows the trend of current fashion and gives us some alternative bangles, to make yourself stand out from the masses!

What I like most in these bangles is the perfect application of "less is more!" Uniform color with delicate details combine into an impressive accessory. What do you think??

Check her shop at etsy for more great stuff, like mint chocolate, kahlua balmand myhrr soaps!

First post - I am nervous!

I am Zozo, i make handmade accessories, so this blog is...

acceZOZOrise!!!

Welcome, and I hope you like it! I'll be posting handmade accessories here, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc made by me. Also I plan to feature other crafters that I find over the internet, whose designs I like and beleive you will like too! So, if you got something handmade and like to see it featured, send it this way.

My main source of finding new artists is etsy.com, a site devoted to handmade items. Many great artists and sellers there, in a friendly community. Check it out for cool flash scripts as well!

This is one of my last items, inspired by the colors of Spring: green and purple make a great combination. Check more photos of it in my etsy shop: http://zozo.etsy.com
